Today (June 11, 2017) has been a fantastic day in the life of our church. It was a wonderful celebration of the 200th Anniversary of First Presbyterian Church, Maysville, KY
We welcomed Rev. Philip Lotspeich as our guest speaker. Rev. Lotspeich is the General Presbyter for the Presbytery of Transylvania. Before beginning his message he took a short video that he posted to the Presbytery of Transylvania's Facebook page.
Following worship this morning a wonderful catered lunch in the Fellowship Hall was enjoyed by all. Joe O'Cull entertained on the piano. Mayor David Cartmell brought a proclamation from the city. June 14th will be proclaimed First Presbyterian Church Day. Choir Director Nick Denham sang "Flow Gently,Sweet Afton"with words from Robert Burns and music by former minister Rev. J.E. Spilman. Bob Hendrickson then spoke about the history of the church and his experience growing up in this church.
